Every web site needs a "web host" or a server so people can connect
and view your web site.
In
simple terms, web hosting is like an online Post Office Box.
If you want to send a package, you simply put an address on your mail and send it.
The Internet is very similar, but your address is replaced with a like www.hostiowa.net.
When someone types in your domain name, their computer works with the Internet
to find the "web host" for the domain. Their computer connects to the host server to
display the web page.
